I wanted the horse to feel less like something posed and more like something elemental — alive, alert, powerful, and impossible to ignore.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe surface is heavily worked, with layered acrylic, visible texture, expressive marks, and areas where the paint builds and catches the light differently depending on where you stand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThat physical surface is something a reproduction can suggest, but never completely recreate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eAnd that is what makes the original different.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eYou can own the image as a print.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eYou can own a signed collector edition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eBut there is only one canvas where the actual marks, texture, decisions, corrections, and layers happened.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThis is it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 dir=\"auto\"\u003eA little about the piece\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eI learn something from every original I paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eSometimes it is technique. Sometimes composition. Sometimes color.
